And then there are your more tricky Christmas cards – the distant relative, the work Kris Kringle, what to say to them?

Finding that super special Christmas card

First things first, choose the perfect greeting card to write in. Design wise we find if you love it, chances are your friends and family will love it too! There are so many wonderful Australian artists doing adorable designs this Christmas, you just have to know where to look.

Local Melbourne markets such as Rose Street Artist’s Market in Fitzroy are a great place to find a unique handmade card, and support your local artists! For our interstate friends there are so many great artists that also sell online. Take a peek at some of our other favourite illustrators – Able and Game, Hannakin, or Lorraine Brownlee.

Chrismas-Wreath-chrismas-card.jpg

There is no shortage of Christmas carols out there to inspire your message. Maybe it just so happens Mariah Carry said it best when she said All I Want For Christmas is You? Or if you’re a little more traditional, here are a few of our Christmas favourites.

  • It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas, toys in every store, But the prettiest sight to see is the holly that will be on your own front door.

  • Have a holly, jolly Christmas; It's the best time of the year. I don't know if there'll be snow, but have a cup of cheer.

  • It's the most wonderful time of the year. With the kids jingle belling and everyone telling you be of good cheer. It's the most wonderful time of the year.

When all else fails, stay short and sweet

With all that said and done, sometimes there just isn’t that much to write. When this is the case you can always opt to keep it simple with a unique gift tag rather than a full size Christmas card!
