Some children's book FAQs

Mr. Moon is a whimsical tale for all age groups, however he is usually enjoyed by little Nonsense Makers aged 4 to 7, or reading level age 7 to 8.

The Tale of Mr. Moon is a hardcover picture book, so the story can be easily held by little hands and read over and over!

The idea for the children's book started all the way back in 2010, but the story and illustrations came together over about 2 years.

Like all of the wall art for children at The Nonsense Maker, each page of the picture book was sketched in pencil, hand illustrated with very fine point pen using a method called crosshatching, and then coloured digitally.

The original concept for the children's story was born while Emily was babysitting, when a little friend of Emily's imagined the moon falling from the sky! Oh no!

This little friend is also the inspiration for one of the stories main characters - Katie!

Sadly, yes! We only have a limited number of copies of this children's book for sale, so once they run out they will be all gone.
