Who is the Nonsense Maker?
From Local Artist to Wholesale Greeting Cards Australia Wide
Beginning as a solo artist in 2014, Emily May started selling her greeting cards and whimsical art prints at local craft markets under the brand name The Nonsense Maker. In 2016 Sidonie joined to help out with their first ever wholesale greeting card order - a small gift shop in Hobart, who 8 years later is still a wholesale greeting cards customer!
In 2018 they took the leap into selling wholesale greeting cards Australia wide with their first trade show. The pair has been delivering unique designs to stores across Australia and internationally ever since.
Each product starts as a hand drawn illustration by artist Emily May, and is then carefully printed and hand packaged in our Melbourne studio. Originating with wholesale greeting cards and wall art prints, the ever growing range now also includes art tea towels, artist wall calendars, and unique hand illustrated giftware.

Australian designed and made
The Nonsense Maker HQ is based in Brunswick, Melbourne. Co-owners Emily and Sidonie are both Melbourne born and raised, and much of our inspiration is drawn from the the city's vibrant laneways and many hidden secrets.
All our paper products are printed in house by us. The few products we don't print are manufactured in Melbourne by other small businesses in our local community.

Sustainable materials
We do our best to produce the highest quality products while still being kind to our planet. We work with local paper suppliers and use FSC certified, partially recycled or entirely recycled papers in our range. We use all Australian suppliers to shorten supply chains and lessen our environmental impact, and are extremely conscious to reduce, reuse and recycle at every stage of production in our little studio.

All of our wholesale greeting cards, art prints, stationery and gift products are inspected by us personally before they are shipped, so we can guarantee the quality of all our products.
We also print to order so we can get your wholesale order out quick smart! Dispatch is usually within 1-2 business days unless we have let you know otherwise.
