Thanks for fixing Everything Dad - Father's Day Card

This playful ‘Thanks for fixing Everything Dad’ Father's Day card has been hand illustrated using fine liner pens, digitally coloured, and printed in Melbourne by The Nonsense Maker. The highly detailed drawing portrays block letters spelling out DAD built out of timber, with little men on ladders climbing and hammering the sides. Hand written font above the word DAD says “Thanks for fixing EVERYTHING”. Inspired by a dreamlike world where little is what it seems, these cards for dad have a neutral colour palette, using mostly browns, with hints of blue and green.

Beginning with a pencil sketch before moving to pen, a method called crosshatching is used to create the depth and the tone you see in the final design.
