This delicate ‘Sending my Love’ sympathy or love greeting card has been hand illustrated using fine liner pens, digitally coloured, and printed in Melbourne by The Nonsense Maker. The highly detailed drawing portrays three small blue birds carrying pink hearts with string. In the centre of the card hand written font says “Sending my love”. Inspired by a dreamlike world where little is what it seems, this greeting card has a light colour palette, using light blue, pink, and brown.

The Nonsense Maker’s ‘Sending my Love’ sympathy greeting card is sustainably hand made in Melbourne using all Australian suppliers.

Beginning with a pencil sketch before moving to pen, a method called crosshatching is used to create the depth and the tone you see in the final design. This fine line art is then scanned into a computer and coloured digitally. All our sympathy cards are ethically printed on high quality recycled paper, and our envelopes are 100% recycled.

We often have customers let us know they love our sympathy cards but struggle to think of things to write in them, and they are certainly not alone there! Check out our blog page for our top tips on what to write in a greeting card.

The Nonsense Maker’s unique sympathy card designs are imagined from a whimsical world where dreaming meets reality. Sometimes silly and sometimes sad, inspired by etching techniques used by old time illustrators. While The Nonsense Maker’s art prints often have finer details, the greeting cards and quirky stationery are usually an easy cheerful expression designed to bring a smile to your face.
