Ice Cream Climbers - Greeting Card

These whimsical ‘Ice Cream Climbers’ all occasion birthday cards have been hand illustrated using fine liner pens, digitally coloured, and printed in Melbourne by The Nonsense Maker. The highly detailed drawing portrays an upside-down waffle cone with a pastel pink scoop of ice cream. Up the side climb three tiny people using a rope, with a little blue flag siting at the peak of the ice cream cone. Inspired by a dreamlike world where little is what it seems, this greeting card has a pastel colour palette, using pale pink, light brown, and specks of blue, green, and orange.

Beginning with a pencil sketch before moving to pen, a method called crosshatching is used to create the depth and the tone you see in the final design. This fine line art is then scanned into a computer and coloured digitally. All our greeting cards are ethically printed on high quality recycled paper, and our envelopes are 100% recycled.
