The highly detailed drawing portrays a rowboat floating on a rolling sea with a fishing rod hanging off the side. Inspired by a dreamlike world where little is what it seems, this greeting card has a bright colour palette, using large blocks of blue, brown, and details in red, purple, white and blue.

Beginning with a pencil sketch before moving to pen, a method called crosshatching is used to create the depth and the tone you see in the final design.
