The highly detailed drawing portrays a triple layered cake line with jam and cream. The cake is decorated with turquoise icing, sprinkles, strawberries and a fun green candles in the shape of the number 80. The candles have red and pink stars upon them and are lit with little yellow flames. Inspired by a dreamlike world where little is what it seems, this Australian made eightieth birthday greeting card has a fun vibrant colour palette using mostly turquoise, pink and red.

Beginning with a pencil sketch before moving to pen, a method called crosshatching is used to create the depth and the tone you see in the final design.
