The highly detailed drawing portrays a light vanilla cupcake in a stripped blue, red and cream wrapper. The Icing on the cupcake is like blue waves filled with tiny coloured fish, which swim around a wooden sailboat and tall red-roofed light house. Inspired by a dreamlike world where little is what it seems, this all occasion birthday card has a bold colour palette, using blues, red, cream, beige and specks of orange, green and yellow.

Beginning with a pencil sketch before moving to pen, a method called crosshatching is used to create the depth and the tone you see in the final design. This fine line art is then scanned into a computer and coloured digitally. All our greeting cards are ethically printed on high quality recycled paper, and our envelopes are 100% recycled.
