This whimsical ‘Teacup of Tassie’ all occasion Tasmanian greeting card has been hand illustrated using fine liner pens, digitally coloured, and printed in Melbourne by The Nonsense Maker. The highly detailed drawing portrays a delicate teacup with Hobart’s iconic Mount Wellington on the front. Three colourful yachts sail inside the cup, and a Tasmanian devil stands at the base. The teabag label to the left says “Tassie dreaming”. Inspired by a dreamlike world where little is what it seems, this Aussie greeting card has a bold colour palette, using light blue, forrest green, and touches of red, purple and blue.

Beginning with a pencil sketch before moving to pen, a method called crosshatching is used to create the depth and the tone you see in the final design.
