Santa's Workshop - Christmas Card

This vintage inspired ‘Santa's Workshop’ Christmas greeting card has been hand illustrated using fine liner pens, digitally coloured, and printed in Melbourne by The Nonsense Maker. The highly detailed drawing portrays three vintage style toys. The tin car, wind up frog, and drum are each being worked on by tiny Christmas elves. Above the toys blue and red bunting says “Santa’s Workshop”. Inspired by a dreamlike world where little is what it seems, this quirky vintage style Aussie Christmas card has a playful colour palette, using shades of blue, bright green, red and yellow.

Beginning with a pencil sketch before moving to pen, a method called crosshatching is used to create the depth and the tone you see in the final design. This fine line art is then scanned into a computer and coloured digitally. All our artist designed Christmas cards are ethically printed on high quality FSC certified recycled paper, and our envelopes are 100% recycled.
