These vintage inspired ‘Cake Delivery’ any occasion greeting cards have been hand illustrated using fine liner pens, digitally coloured, and printed in Melbourne by The Nonsense Maker. The highly detailed drawing portrays an old style red and cream hot air balloon carrying a blue cake box inscribed with the words “cake delivery”. Inspired by a dreamlike world where little is what it seems, this greeting card has a rich colour palette, using deep blue and red, with a hint of pink and gold yellow.

Beginning with a pencil sketch before moving to pen, a method called crosshatching is used to create the depth and the tone you see in the final design. This fine line art is then scanned into a computer and coloured digitally. All our birthday cards are ethically printed on high quality recycled paper, and our envelopes are 100% recycled.
